I was just thinking:"I do hope Weaver has got her photos back"....and lo and behold. Wood is a renewable resource so the loss of these particular trees not a great tragedy. They manage woodland so much better in the UK than the US.....
the similarity between these pics and the paintings by one Mr D. Hockney in Salts Mill is undeniable.... I think HIS are called 12 trees or something.... death to pine trees!!
Lots of tempting plants in your photo of the garden centre. I have to keep out of them as much as possible as I always think I can squeeze in a few more plants somewhere! Much as I love trees, there is something appealing about a stack of timber.
I am a widow for the second time - first marrriage 39 years, second marriage 23 years - both very happy. My second marriage was to a farmer and when he died the farm was sold. I now live in the nearby small town on the edge of Wensleydale in The Yorkshire Dales. My beloved Border Terrier died a couple of years ago - I still miss her but as I am 90 and need carers I shalln't get another I have one son,who lives nearby with his wife, three grandchildren, one step grandchild, two great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren..Life is good.
